Basketball teams stormed the courts and soccer teams secured the turf for some intramural sports game showdowns.

For basketball the two teams playing were “AAF” facing off against the “Certified Buckets Getters.” Ryan Becerra of the CBG (Certified Buckets Getters) offered to answer some questions about the team, such as how they are good at getting the ball and making opportunities.

For the AAF Charlie Vakassian said “You can┬ástick a hand out and be noticed to get the ball passed to you,” as well as having some great 3 point shooters and good plays on rebounds.

At the end of the game the CBG’s got a hard fought victory over AAF with a final score of 63 to 60.

On the turf field two soccer teams would face off, “Future International FC” (FIFC) against the “Old Timers” (OT). Speaking with the captain of the FIFC, Chris Bastien relayed information about the teams strengths such as foot skills and a lot of agility. However they don’t have communication down but “it has started to improve,” said Bastien.

For the OT “Rob passes a lot and scores a lot of our goals, he’s one of our top players.” Said Bailey Fernandes player for the team, as well as praising the team for good communication skills. However an issue that the team is faced with is no permanent goal keeper “right now we are cycling through 3 players,” said Fernandes.

The game ended in favor of the FIFC taking out the OT 9 to 3.
